Fair warning, this comic is not going to win any awards, haha. Primarily cause I don’t write comics or illustrate for a living. lol But, often when thinking through how I feel, there’s a lot of metaphor involved.
I thought it would be interesting to visualize those metaphors into a narrative and since I’ve been playing around w/ comics lately – this is the result! Too lazy to clean it up much more than it is, but maybe some of the symbolism can help with expressing how I feel and how I talk about my past experiences. It certainly was a moving experience at times visualizing what I picture in my head – esp. when it comes to Jess in the basement. And at the very least there are some fantastic ideas that I’m going to use as a jumping off point for future art projects. : )
Also, this was a BIZARRRE endeavor that I’ll likely never repeat… likely. lol

I don’t know if I’ll draw anymore of this. But i’ve been doing a ton of visualization of how I see my relationship to that basement dweller Jess. I need her. I think to be a better artist – we need to work together. To be successful in the next chapter – I need to her to help me connect with others and I can do that through connecting w/ myself better.
Interesting place to go w/ the story would be to have Jesi realize Jess is amazing at channeling those memory orbs and in fact is the key to unlocking the eternal energies of their magical world. Super fun ideas there. : )
